What is Shinko Incense?
Unlike incense sticks used in daily life, these are sent as an expression of condolence to the deceased person who has been a great help to us.
It is often difficult to find a good time to offer condolences when the deceased is too far away to attend the funeral or when the news of the death comes later. In such cases, more and more people are sending incense to the deceased. In the past, incense and incense sticks were offered to the deceased, hence the term “incense”.
In recent years, many people choose incense sticks for gifts on occasions such as the far shore, Obon, and Buddhist memorial services.
Kyo-senkou Shiki no osenkou (four kinds of incense, two bundles of each) (low-smoke)
The “Four Seasons Incense” is a low-smoke incense made by carefully selecting raw materials and using a unique manufacturing process that combines the two previously contradictory elements of “fragrance” and “low smoke”. It can be used for both for Buddhist memorial services and for use in the room.
1) Yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossom)
